Schuster's Crematorium, LLC opened its doors on May 13, 2014 on the island of St. Croix as the first Licensed and Permitted Crematory in the US Virgin Islands that is locally owned and operated by caring certified professionals. Realizing the need for Virgin Islanders and other Caribbean people to avail themselves of a speedier and economical solution for their crematory needs, Ernst and Elaine Schuster embarked on a lengthy and complex journey of designing, locating, calibrating and permitting the equipment necessary for a safe, efficient, and dignified process. This new facility is the only crematorium in the Caribbean to boast state-of-the-art equipment of its kind. It is outfitted with a spacious lobby, private office, arrangement and counseling area, an extensive display of urns, keepsakes, and jewelry, American Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant restroom, a visitation and witnessing room, and the cremation room. We offer direct cremation services, 24 hour phone services, visitation and witnessing services, special cremation packages, holding facility, shipping services and pre-need planning. Hours of operation are Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 9:00am to 12 noon and 1:00pm - 5:00pm; Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00am to 12 noon. We are closed on weekends and holidays.
