Holy Sepulchre Cemetery is the largest and most active of the cemeteries in Rochester, NY, with 340 acres of land and over 250,000 burials. It was formed as a Catholic Cemetery by Bishop McQuaid in 1871 and was developed as a garden cemetery. Ascension Garden Cemetery is the sister cemetery of Holy Sepulchre, and was developed in 2010 in Henrietta, NY. It covers 109 acres, and operates to the same standards and quality that Holy Sepulchre has become known for.
