EXHIBITORS FEATURED AT CANA’S 103RD CONVENTION

WHEELING, IL—The Cremation Association of North America (CANA) helps put funeral suppliers center stage at the 103rd Cremation Innovation Convention. When asked what they’re looking forward to at CANA’s Convention this August, survey respondents voted the exhibit floor second only to what they learn from the presentations. CANA Conventions attract people who know how to make cremation a success, and the suppliers attending this year will not disappoint.

CANA’s Convention prioritizes connection between attendees and exhibitors by putting programming and exhibits in the same room. That way, everyone gets to experience the inspiring education sessions, networking opportunities, and the open bar together! “CANA’s Convention places exhibitors at the heart of our event in a way no other organization does,” said Kim Price, CANA Supplier Liaison and Vice President of Memory Glass. “This year, we are incorporating more new ideas to make sure exhibitors are central to convention activities.”

“Due to the pandemic, we’re limited in the number of exhibitors we can have—about half of CANA’s normal hall—so we’re finding new ways to bring exhibitors and attendees together,” added CANA Executive Director Barbara Kemmis. “We have dedicated time for one-on-one appointments, gamified interactions to award points for conversation, and hosted tables to facilitate introduction and networking.”

Larry Stuart, Jr., emcee of the CANA Convention and former CANA Supplier Liaison, will lead a special session dedicated to highlighting suppliers’ experience during the pandemic. In a similar session previously featured at CANA’s Cremation Symposium, attendees shared the ideas that took their business to the next level. Now, Larry will lead a presentation of the innovative solutions suppliers developed during the pandemic that met the needs of their customers and their company and made them stronger today.

CANA is building a convention that’s worth the trip, but the association knows it’s not right for everyone. While restrictions around gatherings are lifting, a decision to travel involves more than judging whether time away from family or business is feasible. CANA continues to keep the health and safety of all attendees paramount, but will be glad to welcome vaccinated registrants unmasked and loosen social distancing requirements in accordance with Washington regulations.
