FUNERAL PROFESSIONALS PEER SUPPORT FOR THE HOLIDAYS

WHEELING, IL—Long nights, family obligations, and the strain of a busy workplace are often the hallmarks of the holiday season—but a connection with your fellow funeral professionals can help alleviate some of the pressure. Join Funeral Professionals Peer Support (FPPS) and the Cremation Association of North America (CANA) for a Peer Support Meeting just in time for the end of the year crush on Tuesday, December 21, 8pm ET / 7pm CT/ 5pm PT.

Christina Walton will facilitate our conversation in December to help you connect with your funeral professional peers to both find support and inspire others. “I look forward to being together for our well being.” Walton is a registered therapist who specializes in bereavement and loss, and she is president of the Children's Grief Foundation of Canada. She is also a licensed funeral director of 33 years and currently serves as the Community Care Co-ordinator with P.X. Dermody Funeral Homes in Ontario.

For reasons both joyful and challenging, this is a busy time of year. If you cannot attend this peer support meeting, or are seeking support outside of this time, Funeral Professionals Peer Support’s Warmline is open 24/7 for calls and texts. Connect with someone who understands what you are going through:
(289) 212-5586 (call or text).

Join Christina and your colleagues across the world to talk about self-care, wellness, and mental health for funeral service professionals of all levels in their career. This conversation is open to anyone in the death care profession, in any role in the funeral home, cemetery or crematory, or at any stage in their career. Join your peers on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at 8pm ET / 7pm CT / 5pm PT via Zoom link at goCANA.org/peersupport.
