ANNOUNCING IN-PERSON TRAININGS IN CREMATORY OPERATIONS

WHEELING, IL—For more than 30 years, the Cremation Association of North America (CANA) has provided the most sought-after Crematory Operations Certification in the industry. After all the disruptions over the past two years, CANA is pleased to announce the in-person training schedule for 2022 with a new and improved curriculum!

For 2022, the CANA Crematory Operations Certification Program™ (CANA COCP™) is updated to feature best practices in in all forms of cremation, including alkaline hydrolysis. Popular activities such as the Plan Your Day exercise have been newly revised, there is an all–new animation to demonstrate the cremation process, and the COCP Manual has been updated, keeping CANA’s curriculum at the cutting edge of crematory operation best practices.

Returning to a full schedule in 2022, CANA provides multiple opportunities across the country to earn your crematory operations certification:

Whittier, CA - March 16: Tom Krowl of Cremation Systems and Dave Daniels of law firm Elguindy Meyer & Koegel APC head to southern California for the first in-person training of 2022.

Oakbrook Terrace, IL - June 8: John Mitchell of IR Environmental and Dave Daniels bring their crematory operations expertise to the Chicagoland area.

Atlanta, GA - August 17: Tom Krowl and Wendy Wiener of WRW Legal join us in Atlanta for late summer certification. Registrants are invited to extend their education at CANA’s 104th Cremation Innovation Convention, happening the same week in the same hotel!

Houston, TX - November 4: Tom Krowl and Wendy Wiener wrap the year at Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service with a training that’s open to students and professionals alike.

Register for any of these trainings at goCANA.org/calendar.  Capacity may be limited to comply with health and safety requirements, so be sure to claim your seat soon.

CANA’s Online Certification program also continues to offer busy funeral professionals the opportunity to earn their crematory operations certification on their schedule and from their device. Like the in-person version of the course, the Online COCP includes interactive and engaging content on alkaline hydrolysis and flame cremation. Plus, the online course provides a convenient, self-paced option that can be paused or resumed to accommodate the demands of a busy workplace.

Whether in-person or online, CANA’s certification program meets the certification requirement of more than 19 states and fulfills CE obligations in many states and provinces. Plus, CANA is a recognized and valued brand for all things cremation so funeral professionals benefit from the decades of cremation expertise.

Registration is $595 but CANA Members, students, and service members receive discounts on this valuable training! See all of CANA's certification programs on the CANA website: goCANA.org/COCP.
