CANA EVENTS - SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE

WHEELING, IL—After starting 2022 out strong with its Cremation Symposium, the Cremation Association of North America (CANA) is planning even more events to inform, inspire, and entertain professionals from across the industry.

In August, CANA celebrates its 104th Cremation Innovation Convention in Atlanta, Georgia. This premier event brings innovative cremation professionals together to share ideas, learn from experts, and see the newest products and services from industry suppliers. Bring the family to enjoy the fun Atlanta has to offer – with many great activities located within walking distance from the Convention hotel! Savor your bite of the Big Peach and book yourself for August 17-19, 2022, at the Omni Hotel at CNN Center in Atlanta.

If you prefer a more intimate event that expands your understanding of the death care options available to you and your business, consider the Green Funeral Conference. First held in 2019, the much-anticipated return of this innovative event links professionals from across the spectrum of green funeral practices. More than just green burial and alkaline hydrolysis, the Green Funeral Conference covers the full spectrum of green practices in funeral homes, cemeteries, and crematories to make your business more sustainable for the planet and for your profitability. Join the eco-curious at the Sandia Resort & Casino in Albuquerque, New Mexico this September 13-15, 2022.

Be sure to save the date for CANA’s 2023 Cremation Symposium! After rave reviews for its February event, CANA returns to The LINQ Hotel + Experience on the Las Vegas Strip February 8-10, 2023. The CANA Cremation Symposium is known for its topicality and for providing a wealth of useful and practical tips that you can easily bring home and apply to your own business.

The CANA Crematory Operations Certification Program. (CANA COCP) is returning to a full in-person schedule for 2022. You can find multiple opportunities across the country to earn your certification from CANA. With its recently updated curriculum and manual, the CANA COCP features best practices in in all forms of cremation.

CANA is committed to hosting events that are worth the trip but also safe. A decision to travel involves more than judging whether you can take time away from family or business—there are other risks and benefits to calculate. If travel doesn’t fit into your work schedule, keep your eye out for virtual opportunities. In addition to the association’s Online Crematory Operations Certification Program, its full catalog of professional development courses available online and on-demand, and monthly peer support meetings to connect with colleagues, CANA plans to offer new ways to bring the ideas, training, and inspiration to you.
