It’s not the long hours, not the paycheck—a disrespectful, cutthroat, noninclusive atmosphere is ten times more likely to drive workers out. This April 19th, Funeral Professional Peer Support (FPPS) and the Cremation Association of North America (CANA) welcome Marguerite Ham to facilitate the monthly peer support meeting with discussion on tension and distrust in the workplace. Conflict with coworkers is inevitable, but effectively addressing it can be difficult. From simple miscommunication to outright bullying, tension in the workplace can make an already challenging job much harder. Building trust through communication and focusing on the relationship is key in preventing and handling difficult situations and building a healthy culture. Marguerite Ham has 30+ years of experience in training and coaching leaders and organizations nationwide. She is a Certified DISC Practitioner, Human Capital Coach, and Grief and Loss Coach. That means she listens professionally, and she knows the power of sharing an experience: “Increasing awareness, acknowledging what you are feeling and talking about it out loud with a trusted friend, colleague, or coach can release pressure immediately.” That’s the value of peer support, so be sure to join us for April’s meeting with Marguerite Ham on tension and distrust in the workplace.
