This premier event brings innovative cremation professionals together to share ideas, learn from experts, and see the newest products and services from industry suppliers. Voted the most welcoming city in America, Atlanta is the perfect spot to host what many people consider as the most welcoming event in funeral service. “CANA Conventions are focused on networking and connection. With exhibitors and sessions in one room, these events are never overwhelming. You can meet and share business solutions with the approachable, friendly people who represent our association,” said CANA Board Member Ryan Wiseman. “The southern hospitality only enhances the welcoming feel of a CANA Convention,” agreed Kim Price, CANA Supplier Liaison. “Like Louisville in 2019, Atlanta will have something for everyone: innovative supplier solutions, inspiring presentations, and fun on the town!” Part of being welcoming means being accessible, and Atlanta is just a 2-hour plane ride away (or an 8-hour car trip) for more than half of the US. CANA’s Convention Headquarters at Omni Atlanta Hotel at CNN Center is located in the heart of downtown. It’s less than a 10-minute walk to the College Football Hall of Fame, the Georgia Aquarium, the World of Coca-Cola, and the National Center for Civil and Human Rights—as well as both the Mercedes-Benz Stadium (home of the Falcons and United) and the State Farm Arena (home of the Hawks). For those venturing farther from downtown, the Atlanta Braves are home that week and CANA plans an outing to take in a game. Plus, the Atlanta Botanical Garden, the Birth Home of Martin Luther King, Jr., and Historic Oakland Cemetery are easy side trips—packed with hundreds of eating and shopping stops along the way! Worried about the heat in “Hotlanta?” Then you’ll be delighted to discover that Atlanta is known as the “City in a Forest,” with over 100,000 shade trees covering nearly half of the city. Plus you can cool off in the fountain at Centennial Olympic Park, located just across the street from the hotel. CANA is committed to hosting events that are worth the trip, and our lineup of speakers and exhibitors reinforce that promise. But CANA is also committed to safety. A decision to travel involves more than judging whether you can take time away from family or business—there are other risks and benefits to calculate. An in-person gathering may not be right for everyone, but CANA will welcome those who are ready to Atlanta. Savor your bite of the Big Peach and book yourself for August 17-19, 2022, at the Omni Hotel at CNN Center in Atlanta: goCANA.org/CANA22. ABOUT CANA Founded in 1913, the Cremation Association of North America (CANA) is an international organization of over 3,300 members, composed of funeral homes, cemeteries, crematories, industry suppliers, and consultants. CANA members believe that cremation is preparation for memorialization.
