CANA LAUNCHES DIGITAL BADGES AND CERTIFICATES

WHEELING, IL—For 40 years, the Cremation Association of North America (CANA) has provided training for the modern cremation business. From the very first crematory operations certification to online education courses to the newest CANA-Certified Cremation Specialist program, CANA has proven itself an innovative and forward-thinking association. Now, CANA has partnered with Accredible to issue proof of this valuable training—digitally.

Accredible allows associations and educators around the world to issue digital badges and certificates. Starting in August 2023, CANA-Certified Cremation Specialists and Crematory Operators will receive digital badges and certificates to demonstrate their achievements. Rather than relying on mail, certificates will be distributed by email in a format suitable for printing at the office and showcasing on social media or a resume.

Displaying accomplishments is easier than ever with digital badges that attach to social channels like LinkedIn and Twitter or can be added to a website or an email signature. “It's all about promoting personal achievement,” explains CANA Education Director Jennifer Werthman. “Recognizing the hard work of these crematory operators and celebrating their success. The badge on their profile shows their dedication to this profession and the families they serve.”

Plus, these credentials are protected by blockchain security and cannot be copied or faked. Both employers and regulators can now verify that a printed certificate is legitimate and current from a unique QR code included on each certificate.

These new digital badges and certificates provide convenient access, confidence and verification, and social proof of achievement. Watch for these badges to start appearing on your colleagues’ profiles soon!
