WHEELING, IL— The Cremation Association of North America is proud to announce the release of CANA's Online Crematory Operations Certification Program (COCP). As a leading provider of quality crematory operator training for over thirty years, CANA is confident that the online version of our course is the next step in meeting the needs of a rapidly changing industry where cremation is the new tradition. As funeral homes expand to include crematories, and new cremation providers are continually entering the market, access to quality crematory operator certification is critical. While in-person training is often the preferred method of learning for many, others who will be taking these open positions opt for learning online and on-demand.

Developed following best practices for adult workplace learning, CANA's online version of the crematory operations program is highly interactive, engaging, and thought-provoking. The online program features the same valuable content as our highly regarded in-person course. Via the online course, learners will complete activities, watch video, read articles, complete case studies, and more.

There are many advantages to online learning, and this course is no exception. The online COCP is self-paced, and does not need to be completed in one sitting. Learners can start and stop at their convenience. Registration is available at any time and provides immediate access to the course and the crematory operations manual. There are no travel expenses to add to the registration fee and there is no time away from the office, easing the burden of trying to provide coverage while employees are traveling to and from the course location.

The online version of the COCP has already been accepted for certification by many of the twenty states that require it and has been adopted for use by several mortuary science and funeral service schools. The response to the program has been overwhelmingly positive, and we're proud to offer this additional option to our customers.
