But, as deathcare professionals, we know better than most that grief doesn’t wait for a convention. Funeral Professionals Peer Support (FPPS) and the Cremation Association of North America (CANA) welcome Glenda Stansbury as facilitator of the November peer support meeting to reflect on our own losses. Connect with Glenda and your peers to discuss how we observe our personal bereavement while serving others on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at 8pm ET / 7pm CT / 5pm PT. A longtime funeral service veteran and grief expert, Glenda Stansbury serves as a celebrant for local funeral homes, on national convention stages, and teaches the next generation of funeral celebrants as Co-Founder and Dean of InSight Institute Certified Celebrant Program. “Death happens regardless of our time and space and situation,” reminds Glenda Stansbury. “Grief does not wait and demands that we embrace it.” Each year, we support countless families through their grief and each year we also have to navigate our own losses. And we can’t wait for the annual conference. On November 21, Glenda facilitates the monthly peer support meeting to talk about moments where we mourn our own. She’ll share her own tips to take care of yourself while you’re grieving and before you can join your colleagues at a memorial service. This meeting is your time to share, listen, find care and support one another. Please join us. Connect with your fellow funeral professional peers—and offer support to your colleagues—on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at 8pm ET / 7pm CT / 5pm PT via Zoom link at goCANA.org/peersupport.
