Don’t skip your chance to connect with colleagues and decompress about the challenging and rewarding work of funeral service. Funeral professionals from across the industry are invited to the monthly virtual peer support meeting on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, to check-in with colleagues and Funeral Professionals Peer Support. Behind closed doors, over coffee, in the hallways between calls, or in the transfer vehicle, funeral professionals often speak more freely with co-workers — and have honest conversations about the parts of the job that weigh heavy, the moments that move us, and the quiet exhaustion that builds over time. This monthly peer support meeting creates space to bring these casual, off-the-record conversations into a more generous venue for sharing. With their own decades of experience at the arrangement table, in the backroom, at the graveside, and around the water cooler, Lisa Smith and Kim Zavrotny ably facilitate the conversation. Join them to reflect on what important issues have been arising — in our work, in our teams, and in ourselves. There’s no agenda to fix anything. Just a place to speak what’s real, or simply listen, in the company of others who understand what this work truly asks of us. Bring your voice, your silence, your stories — or just yourself. This virtual funeral professional peer support meeting takes place Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at 8pm ET / 7pm CT / 5pm PT via Zoom link at cremationassociation.org/peersupport. No registration is required, simply follow the link to join.
