CANA’S THIRD CRUCIAL CONVERSATION TO FOCUS ON BUSINESS TRENDS AND OPPORTUNITIES

WHEELING, IL—Tools to Generate New Business, the third session in CANA’s Art and Science of Cremation: Crucial Conversations Virtual Series series, goes live on Wednesday, April 7, 1 pm CT. Along with facilitators Stephen Carter (OpusXenta), Nick Grant (eFuneral), and Ashley Johnson (Death Doula and End of Life Educator), you’re invited to join fellow owners and managers of funeral homes, crematories, and combos to investigate new trends in deathcare and the opportunities that can set your business apart.

It only takes an hour out of your workday to connect with colleagues in a meaningful way. The virtual conversation series was designed to bring practitioners together to talk about a topic that matters to their businesses. Subject experts Carter, Grant, and Johnson will speak briefly to introduce themselves and their area of expertise before they join participants in a roundtable-style discussion, sharing challenges and solutions among colleagues.

The facilitators will begin with quick insights into tools that can help you develop new business. Roundtable conversations will focus on exploring different technologies in cremation and how they relate to your everyday business operations; acquiring web traffic and enhancing your firm’s digital presence; and the ways in which death doulas can be used to empower, educate, and encourage your cremation families.

Coming up: The final conversation in the series will cover Pandemic Lessons on Preneed and Aftercare on Wednesday, April 14, 1 pm CT. Preneed sales agents, counselors, and funeral directors can examine the shifting landscape around funeral planning, aftercare, and preneed sales and find strategies to take advantage of current trends. Facilitated by Jon Lefrandt (The Domani Group), Alex McCracken (Funeral Innovations), and Mitch Smith (eFuneral).

“CANA strives to serve the industry with meaningful interaction between professionals, even though circumstances have made that especially challenging over the past year,” said Barbara Kemmis, CANA Executive Director. “This is a whole new way to experience a CANA event, but our focus, as always, will be on encouraging the progressive and practical exchange of information in a comfortable environment.”

Thanks to the generosity of series sponsors Dignity Memorial and Implant Recycling, registration is free for CANA Members and just $15 for non-members. 1.0 CEU is available from the APFSP. Be sure to attend— recordings will not be available. Event details and registration are available at goCANA.org/crucialconversations
